The Spanish sculptor Maria Angeles Anglada created this wonderful sculpture on the occasion of the 100th birthday of Savador Dali: Apollo.
The Spanish artist and sculptor created this marvellously proportioned male torso in an ancient optics, inspired by Dali's classic works. Just as if it would grow out from a real piece of rocks, he symbolizes the symbiosis between man and nature. A marvellous art object. It was made in the manufactory in Anglada, Zaragoza after Savador Dali on a noble object stand with signature of the artist. Dali believed, that a part of a whole - a sculpture, a body - isn´t necessity independent of the whole. He thought tightly that a fragment - a torso, a hand or a foot, isn't necessarily dependent on a whole. In his early exercises as a sculptor he inspired himself of partial destroyed ancient sculptures. Maria Angeles Anglada has followed up his style very sensitively and formed with great artistic dexterity his work by her way. Every detail is a feast for the eyes for the true art lover. A real enrichment for your art collection,
For this work there is the suitable counterpart unit - Artemis - a wonderful female torso (see photo).
